Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has registered a record turnover of 88 per cent in production and transport of coal in May when compared to the corresponding period in 2020.
It registered 127 per cent growth in transport of coal and 69 per cent in coal production. SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar asked employees to work with the same spirit and achieve the current year’s target of 700 lakh tonnes of coal production.
Reviewing the monthly coal production and transport with officials at Singareni Bhavan here on Thursday, Sridhar expressed happiness over the record production recorded during the pandemic. The SCCL produced 54.4 lakh tonnes of coal registering 69 per cent growth in May as against 32.2 lakh tonnes of coal produced in May 2020.
Sridhar appreciated Manuguru, Kothagudem, Yellandu and Srirampur Singareni areas for their outstanding services in increasing coal production and asked the employees in other Singareni areas to increase the production.
