Outstanding performance by CCL team led by CMD Mr. P.M. Prasad

CMD Mr. P.M. Prasad had made a visit to the command area as soon as he took over the CCL on 01 September. Visiting the CCL’s largest project Magadh-Amrapali on 03 September, he encouraged the personnel and discussed information and various issues related to the project. CCL recorded several records in coal dispatch yesterday due to Mr Prasad’s encouragement, teamwork and the once again increasing demand for coal. The Magadha-Amrapali Siding on 8th September made history by loading 17 rakes for the first time. More than 2 lakh tonnes of coal yesterday was also dispatched on a single day of this financial year from CCL, which is a major achievement during the Corona period. Simultaneously, 12 ton rake coal was lifted on a single line in Shivpur railway siding, breaking its record.

CMD Mr. P.M. Prasad congratulated the CCL family especially Magadh-Amrapali and the team of Marketing and Sales for this unprecedented achievement and asked them to continue setting new records in the future.

It may be noted that coal transmission was affected to a large extent due to the lockdown implemented during the Covid-19 global pandemic, with the coal picking being very slow. But due to the labourer’s hard work, their dedication and commitment to team work, and with cooperation from stakeholders, CCL is steadily moving towards its goal once again in coal production and dispatch.
