NCL CMD Sinha conferred with COVID Warrior Award

Chief Managing Director, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), P K Sinha has been conferred with the ‘COVID-19 Warrior Award’ for numerous social initiatives taken by NCL under his leadership during the pandemic. The award was bestowed on Sinha by the prestigious Indian Achievers’ Forum and CSR Times. NCL in Singrauli, the energy capital of India-based subsidiary company Coal India Limited, produces more than 100 MT coal each year from its 10 open cast coal mines.

Along with meeting its production and dispatch targets CSR is an integral part of its work and spends crores each year for the socio-economic development of society around us. During the recent COVID pandemic, NCL, under the dynamic leadership of CMD P K Sinha, is extending support to its nearby society by distributing ration masks, sanitisers, etc, providing healthcare facilities in its hospitals and others. Indian Achievers’ Forum, a Delhi based organisation, has conferred P K Sinha with COVID-19 Warrior Award for contribution by his company to fight the conferred with COVID Warrior Award pandemic.

He has a diverse experience of 36 years in mining and assumed the charge of CMD NCL in December 2017. Under his leadership, the company entered the coveted 100 million tonne coal group in FY 2018-19 and is constantly achieving its production targets.
