Haryana discoms postpone ACD of active consumers

Amidst COVID-19 pandemic and in view of the problems being faced by the consumers, Haryana Power Discoms while adhering to the orders of the state government has decided to postpone the Advance Consumption Deposit (ACD) of the active consumers as deposited by them based on the average billing cycle in the previous financial year for one year.
An application will be submitted to the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) for this purpose.
Giving details, a spokesperson of Power DISCOM said that as per the directions of HERC, it is mandatory to keep the ACD amount equal to two average billing cycles based on the consumption of the previous year of the consumers of all categories.
