SECL failed to meet the July month production target

Chhattisgarh, August 7: The target for the month of July was not met by SECL mines as only 7.2 MT coal was produced against 9.16 MT. The four-mining area which includes Dipika, Gevra, Kusmunda and Korba are the projects in the district where the July month target is lagging behind.

The Gevra area has the highest production target of 3.29 million tonne where it was able to produce only 2.69 million tonne, lagging behind by 10.23%. Second highest target of 3.01 million tonne was for the Kusmunda area and it was able to produce only 1.96 million tonne lagging behind by 33.66%.

Whereas Dipika mine area has a production target of 2.35 million tonne and it was able to produce 2.07 million tonne. And Korba mine production target was 0.51 million tonne and it was able to produce 0.48 million tonne only, lagging behind by 7.83%.

Coal lifting targets were also not achieved in these four mines.

In Dipika mine coal lifting target was 2.61 million tonne, where it achieved only 2.28 million tonne from the target. For Gevra mine the target was 3.65 million tonne and it achieved only 2.91 million tonne. Similarly, the target for Korba mine and Kusmunda mine was 0.61 million tonne and 3.5 million tonne , and it achieved only 0.43 million tonne and 2.63 million tonne respectively from the target.
