Dhanbad, August 5: A company secretary cadre will also be made in Coal India. Internal vacancy has also been notified for this. For the first time this kind of vacancy has been notified, in which a person who is in any other cadre and willing to become company secretary, can apply. Like other cadres, now the company secretary will also have officers from E-2 to E-8 grade, who will be promoted up to the rank of General Manager. Under this arrangement, all departments will have a company secretary. Till now a subsidiary company had only one company secretary.
Under the new arrangement, interested persons for the post of company secretary can apply to the GM of their company, which will be verified and sent to Coal India Headquarters. Selection will be done at Coal India headquarters only. For verification, a committee has been set up under the chairmanship of the personnel director of all the subsidiary companies.
It is mandatory for a person willing to become a company secretary to serve in a subsidiary company of Coal India for five years. Applications can be made by those who have done a course of company secretary and are a member of Institute of Company Secretary (ICSI), India.
