Amendment approved to provide concession in penalty to escape fine

Dhanbad, August 25: An amendment has been carried out by Coal India in its Pride Manual, according to which the coal officers not submitting the performance report on time have been given concession in penalty. However, several conditions have also been laid out to escape fine. The officer would be able to avoid the fine only after fulfilling those conditions. In the 408th Board of Coal India held on August 4, Coal India has given its approval to the proposal related to the amendment in the ‘Pride Manual’, after which the notification will be issued with the signature of Nila Prasad, General Manager Personnel Policy of Coal India. Accordingly, the amendments made in the ‘Pride Manual’ have been approved for implementation with immediate effect.

… you won’t be fined then

In the event of non-compliance of the deadline, the fine of those officers will be waived who would have been hospitalized or are on official tour and leave. Even coal officials in judicial custody would be forgiven. For this, officers would have to appeal online within the stipulated time frame. It should be noted that the coal authorities have to submit their performance report every year from April 1 to 30, while the performance report along with penalty has to be submitted from May 1 to 15, otherwise Penalty is imposed for their failure in doing so.
