CIL Chairman holds review meeting with CCL officials

Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Coal India Limited (CIL) Pramod Agrawal held a performance review meeting regarding the coal production and other related issues with officials of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) at CCL Headquarters in Ranchi on Saturday.

Agrawal took stock of coal production of all areas, status of Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) projects, upcoming washeries and others. He issued necessary directives so that CCL can achieve its annual target of coal production and create appropriate infrastructure for mining activities in coming years. He also instructed to expedite procurement of machines so that these machines are utilized in the mining activities. Prior to it, CMD, CCL, PM Prasad extended a warm welcome to Agrawal before the onset of the meeting.

Prasad briefed him on coal production performance reports of all areas including Amrapali- Chandragupta, Magadh-Sanghmita and Piparwar. He also briefed about the Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) project of opencast mine of Kotre-Basantpur- Pachmo, upcoming washeries and other issues related with land and revenue etc.

On Friday, Agrawal had visited Amrapali Open-cast Mine of Amrapali-Chandragupta Area and Magadh Open-cast Mine of Magadh-Sanghmitra Area in Chatra district.

He also discussed the local issues including coal production, dispatch, mine expansions, forest clearance and others. On this occasion, CMD, Prasad and Directors were present and they briefed about the mining activities. GM, (Amrapali-Chandragupta Area), AK Choubey, GM (Magadh-Sanghmitra Area), KK Sinha and other officials were also present.

CMD, CCL PM Prasad, Director (Technical/Operation) V K Srivastava, Director (Project and Planning), Bhola Singh, Director (Finance), NK Agarwal, GM/TS to Chairman(CIL), MK Singh, GM/TS to CMD (CCL), MV Rajimwale, GMs/HODs from headquarters were present during the meeting. The protocol of Covid-19 issued by the Government was also adhered during the meeting.
