Ranchi, August 31: Central Coalfields Ltd. (CCL), Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Shri Gopal Singh has been transferred to Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. (BCCL) as CMD for the rest of his serving tenure. Shri Gopal Singh took charge of Central Coalfields Limited on 1st March’ 2012 at Ranchi. Before taking over as CMD CCL, Shri Singh had successfully shouldered varied higher responsibilities such as Director Technical (Project & Planning) of SECL, CGM Kusmunda Area, SECL, etc. His earlier assignments have bestowed on him a wide exposure to the Coal Sector and given him very extensive experience in managing corporate affairs.
Where, Bharat Coking Coal Ltd., Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Shri P.M. Prasad has been transferred to CCL as CMD for the remaining period of his tenure. Shri Prasad was selected for the post of Chairman-Cum-Managing Director, BCCL and has assumed the charge w.e.f. 02ndAugust 2019. Before BCCL CMD, Shri Prasad was the Director(T)P&P, Northern Coalfields Ltd. (NCL) from 01.02.2018 and carried out the responsibility of 05 Areas of NCL along with key departments like Corporate Planning, Civil Engineering, Contract Management Cell, Environment & Forest, Land & R&R
activities, Railway sidings etc. Shri Prasad also held the responsibility of additional charge of Director(T)OP, BCCL.
