Ranchi, Oct.15: The Joint Bipartite Coal Committee of India (JBCCI) in its 10th meeting held today at Central Mines Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) in the Jharkhand capital today Rs 68500 bonus for the non-executive employees of Coal India and its subsidiary units across the country. As many as 2.65 lakh workers will be benefited from the decision.

The meeting decided to ensure payment by October 22. The meeting was presided over by chairman cum managing director of Northern Coalfields Limited P.K.Sinha. The meeting is an annual event of coal industries.

Those present during the bipartite coal committee meeting other than Sinha included the director (personnel) of CIL, R.P. Srivastava, Director (personnel ) of SECL R.S.Jha, Director (personnel of WCL Sanjay Kumar, Director (personnel) of ECL and CCL Vinay Ranjan, Director (personnel) of MCL, Bimlendu Kumar, Director (technical) of CMPDI S.K.Gomasta, Director (personnel) of BCCL, PVKRM Rao, Director (personnel of SCCL, S Chandrashekhar besides convenor of standardization committee, A.K.Choudhary.

Union representatives included B.K.Rai (BMS), Nathulal Pandey (HMS), Ramendra Kumar (AITUC) and D.D.Ramanandan (CITU).

Insider said union leaders were demanding Rs one lakh while management was not ready to pay more than 60,000. Finally 68500 was decided.
