The outsourced employees of the Central Zone Power Distribution Company who were getting salaries much less than the prescribed collectorís rates will not get salaries accordingly. Free Press had also raised the issue of these employees. The outsourced employees of Central Zone Power Discom (distribution company) were getting about Rs 900 less than the labour rates fixed by the collector. The outsourced employees union had met the power minister Pradhuman Singh Tomar and raised the issue.
The minister after finding the complaint right had instructed the principal secretary to rectify the anomaly. Action should be taken against agencies that are doing such deeds, the minister had directed.
The inquiry was done in power discomís jurisdiction including Bhopal, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Guna, Ashoknagar, Datia and Bhind and the complaint was found to be true. Concerned agency that was facilitating employees to the power discom has been served a show cause notice.
