Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, is strengthening its social commitment and endeavouring to provide medical care in remote areas so that rural folks get information at their homes itself about the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Corona warriors comprising doctors and paramedical staff of CCL went to Simartoli, a village situated in the outskirts of Ranchi city, to conduct awareness Covid-19 camp on Saturday.
A team of doctor comprising Dr Anjana Jha and Dr Ragini along with their team visited Simartoli in Kanke Block and explained the villagers that the current evidence suggests that Covid spreads among people through direct, indirect (through contaminated objects or surfaces), or close contact with infected people via mouth and nose secretions. They also informed about the symptoms of Covid-19 and preventative measures to be adopted in coming days.
Doctors and others wore masks, maintained physical distance and followed other guidelines of government in respect to pandemic while educating the villagers about the highly infectious disease.
Doctors checked the villagers about their health condition, distributed masks, sanitizers etc. Few villagers were given free medicines during the awareness camp. There were about 100 beneficiaries.
CCL has dedicated its two hospitals- Gandhinagar Central Hospital (Ranchi) and Ramgarh Central Hospital where stakeholders of the company are undergoing treatments. CMD, CCL, PM Prasad through digital mode is motivating its workforce for their ongoing works during the pandemic. Director(Personnel), CCL Vinay Ranjan is constantly monitoring the works of the company and guiding the Corona warriors.
