The South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has issued a notice stating the withdrawal of the name Washery in all its future Delivery Orders (DO).
Anurag Garg, General Manager (M&S), SECL, Bilaspur, in a statement said that the name Washery would not be mentioned in any further DO issued from SECL. This comes after the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in a Gazette notification has mentioned conditions pertaining to the use of Coal by Thermal Power Plants, and withdrawing washing mandate as per the aforementioned notification.
The statement by SECL also noted that it reserved the right to withdraw or cancel or amend any part of the notice without assignment of any reason.
