Dhanbad, August 12: WHO choose the year 2020 as the “YEAR OF THE NURSE AND MIDWIVES” because of the contribution which nurses are making the world healthier Place and Nurses are the unsung heroes of the COVID-19 response. Nursing as a profession, with its own identity is the largest, the most diverse and one of the most respected among the health care profession.
Taking into account, comparison with Military, AIIMS, ESIC, Railways, NTPC, NPCIL, ONGC, HAL, what’s more, other PSU and Central Government Hospital Staff Nurses, the Coal India medical attendants have low pay, allowances and significantly less limited promotional avenue. The Nursing staff initial recruitment, placement should be in executive cadre with pay as Per with Central Government/NPCIL/Indian Army, Navy, Airforce and Nursing Staff should be promoted from Non-executive to executive as per with Survey Discipline in Coal India.
