NTPC Group’s power generation rises 13% to 26.73 billion units in July

NTPC announced that its power production, including joint ventures and subsidiaries, increased in July by 13.3% to 26.73 billion units compared to the previous month. In June the NTPC Group’s overall power generation stood at 23.59 billion units (BU), a statement from the company said.

NTPC Coal stations reported a year-on-year growth of 5.6 per cent with a generation of 21.89 billion units compared to 20.74 billion units in July 2019. Last month, the Korba project in Chhattisgarh (2,600 MW) achieved more than 100% plant load factor or capacity utilization.

The NTPC Group has 70 power stations with a total installed capacity of 62.910 MW, comprising 24 coal, 7 combined cycle gas / liquid fuel, 1 hydropower, 13 renewables and 25 subsidiary & JV power stations.
