Coal India Arm MCL declared on Friday that it has signed a pact with the Odisha District Administration to set up a dedicated 70-bed COVID Care Center in Jharsuguda. “Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd (CIL), today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jharsuguda District Administration to set up a dedicated 70-bed COVID Care Center in Bandhabahal, western Odisha,” the CIL said in a statement.
The MoU was signed by MCL Director (Personnel) Keshav Rao and Jharsuguda Collector Saroj Kumar Samal to set up a COVID care center to provide free-of – cost treatment to infected people.
All expenses, such as care, medication, training, food and housing, must be covered by the company as Corporate Social Responsibility.
MCL is providing all-out assistance to the Odisha government in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The organization is funding 525-bed COVID Hospital in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, while another 150-bed COVID Hospital is operating at the Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Talcher, Angul State District.
