New Delhi, August 9: State-run power giant NTPC said it achieved a cumulative power generation mark of 100 billion units (BU) during the ongoing fiscal cycle. NTPC Group has a total of 62.9 GW of installed capacity.
“The NTPC Group achieved more than 100 trillion cumulative generation units (BUs) in the current financial year, confirming the group ‘s commitment to operational excellence across its plants,” it said in a statement.
According to data from the Central Electricity Authority, between April 2020 and July 2020, 2600 MW of NTPC Korba plant in Chattisgarh has emerged as the top-performing thermal power plant with a plant load factor of 97.42 per cent.
NTPC Group has 70 power stations with a total installed capacity of 62.9 GW, comprising 24 Coal, seven combined cycle gas / liquid fuel, one hydro, 13 renewables and 25 subsidiary and joint venture power stations.
The group has more than 20 GW of building capacity including 5 GW of renewable energy projects.
